What is Family Friendly?
There are loads of events, exhibitions, plays, films, concerts, festivals and workshops for families and young people in Dorset and we want to make sure that you can find them easily and enjoy your visits together.
We know that being a family doesn't just mean having 2.4 children. Families come in all shapes and sizes - and so do the great things on offer. You can have fun, learn new things and new skills, enjoy watching a show and get creative at times and prices to suit all budgets.
Because that's what Family Friendly Dorset is all about. Being Family Friendly means we promise to do everything we can to make you and your family feel comfortable and welcome. And we'll listen to what you say and try to respond to your suggestions.

DORSET COUNTY MUSEUMThe Museum Club
Museum Club activities at Dorset County Museum are open to all children aged up to 15 (most current members are between eight and 12). It’s easy to join and costs only £7.50 for each child for a whole year. Come along to any Museum Club activity and join on the day. Tel: 01305 262735 for more information.

NATIONAL YEAR OF READING
Dorset Libraries are busy planning a special programme of activities for customers to celebrate National Year of Reading 2008, which is officially launched in April.
Libraries across Dorset will be hosting storytimes during the school half-term holiday in February and the Easter Holiday in March. Many also have their regular rhymetimes and toddler times.
