What a great idea – saw the article in the Interlife Magazine. I’m looking forward to getting the newsletter

I am not sure who funds this organisation but as a member of the NCT (National Childbirth Trust) I think the campaign should also be opened up to shops, pubs and cafes. Have you undertaken a mailshot to places like these.

How do you work?
What are the aims of the site over the next 2 years?

From the NCT perspective having information for new mothers about family friendly places is extremely useful and often avoids any embarassment.

Many thanks

Family Friendly Dorset is a partnership between cultural organisations, who are all members of Dorset Arts Promoters Forum. Pilot funding for the scheme came from Arts Council England, South West so that we could improve information for families about the range and quality of events on offer in Dorset. As the scheme grows we are hoping that more organisations will get involved but, as this is not a commercial venture, we don’t have the resources – or the personnel – to organise a directory of all family friendly organisations in the county. It is a great idea, though, I wonder if anyone else has the expertise to do this?
