Dorchester Arts Centre

dorchester arts centreDorchester Arts Centre is a friendly venue in central Dorchester offering a wide variety of events for people of all ages and abilities. You can attend theatre, dance, puppet shows, circus events and music at Dorchester Arts Centre throughout the year. We run regular courses and workshops in a variety of activities from latern making to Indian dance. Dorchester Arts Centre also organise educational work with local schools and community groups. Join us at Christmas time for a Christmas Cracker procession through the town and in May for the Dorchester festival. Please contact us for a programme or for further information about our forthcoming events.


What Have We Got To Offer Families?

The whole building is wheelchair and pushchair accessible.

We have disabled access and toilets.

A changing mat is available for use.

Children’s refreshments are available at shows specifically aimed at children. A full bar including soft drinks is available at other performances.

Kitchen facilities are available at DAC including use of a microwave.

Discounted tickets for families.

Useful information

There is limited parking at Dorchester Arts Centre but the top-of-town car park is less than five minutes away! There is one disabled parking space by the Arts Centre but we cannot guarantee its availability.
